This morning I was listening to an interview with Kelly Brogan MD talking about her book A Mind Of Your Own
What I loved her saying and what I truly believe in is and I Quote
“The real needle-mover in my experience for most people is in taking dietary change as a medical prescription. The reason that I think it’s powerful is because food has information that speaks to our genes and we know that within days we can shift our microbiome. And I know it works“
I have experienced this myself whist changing my diet to help me deal with an overactive thyroid ( hyperthyroidism). I have also seen this from my clients what small changes can achieve, a small change may be having vegetables twice a day or cutting out processed foods over the weekend and cooking from scratch. What they have noticed and reported back to me is they feel their overall health is improving, which can’t be bad, can it?
Eating well is key:
Try and get your rainbow of colour in each day, it doesn’t have to be in one meal….although that would be great…it can be spread out daily throughout your meals.
